Just saw David Attenborough’s Ocean 🌊 and was shocked by the destruction caused by bottom trawling—legal even in UK "protected" waters. 😔

With the UN ocean conference on June 9, now WE can push for change. Scientists say 30% ocean protection is the minimum we need—let’s make sure the UK leads the way.

Write to your MP writetothem.com for a commitment to fully protect 30% of UK seas. 🌊🇬🇧

Last month, President Trump signed an executive order promoting deep sea mining in U.S. and international waters. Less than a week later, a U.S. subsidiary of the Canadian deep-sea mining corporation called The Metals Company submitted its first applications to explore and exploit polymetallic nodules in the Clarion-Clipperton Zone. If approved, the company could be the first to mine in international waters. But ocean advocates say the risks of mining far outweigh the benefits of maintaining a healthy deep sea ecosystem.
