Diego HerculanoOn November 25, 2018, I was in Spain when I saw the news that Russian forces had seized three Ukrainian naval vessels in the Kerch Strait, near the Sea of Azov. I immediately began arranging logistics and traveled to the region. After obtaining the necessary accreditations from both the Ukrainian and Russian sides, I made my way to the frontlines of the conflict in the Donbas region, where Ukrainian forces were engaged in a tense standoff with Russian-backed separatists. I embedded with Ukrainian soldiers and spent time living in a frontline bunker, documenting their daily routines and the low-intensity warfare that, even then, signaled the beginning of what would later become the full-scale invasion in 2022. Some ppl on the Fedi want to encourage using alt-text for the visually challenged. So, those ppl may only boost a post that has alt-text on pics. This- does- not- mean- it- is- ok- for someone to scold you about not alt-texting. No 1 should be forced to. But, ppl do get to decide what they boost.But also, alt-text doesnt have to be a novel. A ~basic~ description will do. Help someone who cant see enjoy your art.
