The brand is "Busy Bee", but it was made by Columbia. These were cheap (and this one still was, relatively speaking). The Busy Bee company had a clever/sneaky business model of selling players really cheap, but with modifications that made them only compatible with Busy Bee brand cylinders. The mandrel (the spinning thing you slide the cylinder on) is slightly too big to fit a standard cylinder. Of course, spare mandrels were and are available, so it's possible to convert this into a standard 2-minute cylinder player. <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/CylinderRecord" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#CylinderRecord</a>.
