The Vinyl Ape 🦧<p>MADDER ROSE<br>Panic On<br>1994 U.S. pressing</p><p>A severely underrated <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/90s" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>90s</span></a> band from <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/nyc" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>nyc</span></a> .<br>This is their second record, and the one that I keep coming back to after all these years. </p><p>I’ve always loved Mary Lorson’s voice, and it nestles in with these songs comfortably, like a cozy blanket.</p><p>They never really obtained upper-echelon 90s stature, due to lack of a real signature song or “hit”. But their albums on whole were always stellar.</p><p>Dreamy, lush exquisite <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/alternative" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>alternative</span></a> rock.</p><p>I only got to see them live once; at T.T. The Bears Place in Cambridge, Ma in August of ‘94, with the bands Swell and Speedball Baby. There weren’t a lot of people there, and my sister’s boyfriend (who worked there) snuck me in to see them as long as I promised to keep quiet and not act like an asshole.</p><p>They were so very excellent.<br>And this album sounds as good as ever!</p><p><a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/vinylrecords" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vinylrecords</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/vinylcollection" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vinylcollection</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/art" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>art</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>music</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/vinylcommunity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vinylcommunity</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/retro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>retro</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/vintage" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vintage</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/1990s" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>1990s</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/90smusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>90smusic</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/madderrose" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>madderrose</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/altrock" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>altrock</span></a></p>
