BethFirst real hill-walk of the year. We set off in the direction of Creag Rainich. Determined, but not totally sure whether we'd make it. It's a fair walk-in to the far end of Loch a' Bhraoin (meaning loch broom) and then straight up the steep, boggy, heathery, tussocky grass slopes. BethThere is something special to staying out overnight in the hills. Skye was happy to be out and I'm still absolutely amazed she took to it so well. It was just 'no biggie'. Lots of stuff running through my head. Can we get out again soon, and this time climb some hills, or will it be too much for me. How can I fix the issues I had, and find say a jumper for Skye to keep her warm in the overnight chill. BethThat was a wee adventure! Mistakes were made, but workarounds were deployed. We didn't need to bail.Best thing: First time in a tent for Skye. She just trotted in and laid down where I said. BethAs the weather forecast yesterday was for it to deteriorate into the afternoon we had a low-level stroll on the north side of Loch Maree. BethAfter our walk today we carried on round The Goat Road. It did not disappoint. Saw lots but particularly liked this one. BethSkye on a rock staring at (unseen to humans at least) beasties again. One of these fine days I'll head for Beinn Dearg which is a Corbett - the snow covered hill above her.
