Hey #sparky folks and related hobbyists: I’m looking for a solution. I have an automaton I want to plug itself in to a 120V circuit when it’s time to charge. Draws a max of 10A. I don’t want to do induction because I don’t have the chops to do the thermal management.
Is there a connector that is good for this type of use case? Ideally that’s not crazy expensive?

Ich habe schon seit Erscheinen #Sparky #Linux V8 (Debian Trixie, semirolling) ohne jegliche Probleme auf dem alten Hündchen laufen.
Okay, Prozessorgrafik, nur für Büro, Medien, Kommunikation und Shisen Sho in Gebrauch.
(freue mich schon auf die nächste #Debian #Beta)
Heute habe ich ihm auch den #Kernel 6.14.2 spendiert.
Läuft stabil.
Man gönnt sich ja sonst nix.
Ausser von dem Grünzeug lass ich mich ja auch von den Katzen und meinen Rechnern tyrannisieren.
Heute hab ich u.a. das alte hp Chromebook aktualisiert.
(hp CB 13 G1, im5, 8GiB RAM, 2023 von Google ausgemustert, von mir entgoogelt und mit #Sparky #Linux weiterbetrieben)
Es läuft schon seit über einem Jahr stabil auf Basis von #debian13trixie .
So viel zu #Debian Betas!
Aber da es mir auch mit dem Sparky semi rolling nicht schnell genug geht, hab ich ihm heute den #Kernel 6.14 verpasst.
Läuft.
Вышло обновление дистрибутива Sparky 2025.03 на базе Debian с ядром Linux 6.12 LTS, обновлением сред рабочего стола Xfce 4.20, LXQt 2.1, MATE 1.26.0, Openbox 3.6.1 и многим другим

Btw. I've been using #Sparky semirolling (#Debian #trixie for almost two years now on different devices (old notebook with i5 3xxx, old PC with i3 4xxx and old, dechromed Chromebook with i5m) with #KDE #Plasma without any problems.
#SPARKY is unfortunately a very little known and underestimated distribution and is highly recommended, especially for #Linux newbies.

I used to rely on the #RedHat system in the productivity platform and manage my business on my main computer and I relied on the #Sparky #Linux distribution in my second machine because they are strong, solid and stable.
Today I moved to the #Fedora system, which is the most powerful and latest GNU Linux distributions ...
Actually better than #Debian...
