Two Maggies (3D);

3D Saturday! So, I spotted 2 "maggies" yesterday in the morning, and decided to take quick shots (at the moment they've just disappeared!). However, not wanting to struggle with the colors, I've converted everything to B&W and made the anaglyph. There is still some ghosting a bit, more on the bottom part of the image (specially the left side).

Borderline (3D)

It's 3D Saturday! I went back to this year, specifically to February, when I had a stroll back in winter around the block and I remembered shooting this scene several times trying to make up the composition that I think was fit. So, I thought, let me check it out maybe I can get out with something, and it didn't fail me! Get out your anaglyph glasses 🔴🔵 out! you gonna love this one!

Triq Tas-Sema (3D); 2015

This shot (and another one from Ireland taken in 2009) is one of those rare shots that I've literally stopped gazing mindlessly before shooting it, meditating in its majesty. Where I live, we don't quite get such clouds formations, thus seeing something like that, in a quiet countryside pathway, induces amazing feelings of joy deep inside of me. I wanted to just sit there and gaze, forgetting everything about my problems, and my camera and photography altogether. Luckily, back home, I've realized that I've made two shots of the scene so I was able to merge them in one anaglyph. Making anaglyphs out of fisheye shots is quite tricky as well, but I think this one ended up well. Another strange thing about this anaglyph as well is that the B&W version didn't quite work well it seems; usually, colors cause ghosting and hence anaglyphs perform better in B&W to perceive the depth or the illusion better. However, this is not the case here, where the colored version is relatively better in depth than the B&W!

***Note: I tried my best to match the original colors of the image here on Pixelfed, using the provided filters, since the color space is not recognized and the colors change significantly. I will leave a link in the comments to the one with the original colors posted on Cara.

Mustard (3D);

Ta da! 3D Saturday is here! Shot this one yesterday (or the day before) with my phone. It is official now that this plant with yellow flowers is actually mustard; At least this is what Google says.
Generally, the depth (or illusion of depth) is good, but for some reason I'm not sure of, the bottom part of the image is a bit ghosty probably and can't be seen easily. Go get your glasses 🔵🔴 now!

The Pacific (3D) - 2019;

It's 3D Saturday! Rolling back to 2019, and specifically 6 months before the start of the pandemic, and 8 months before the lock-down here. This one here shot in my workplace (but another department) - the geology (or Earth sciences) department. They have many things hanging on the walls there and I loved this one REAL 3D model for the Pacific ocean floor. I remember in that period I wasn't a fan of phonography (that is, shooting with a phone), but I used the phone merely for quick snaps when I need to, and in this case, for quick 3D anaglyphs when my Canon wasn't with me.
Get those 🔵🔴 out and keep staring!

It's 3D Saturday! I was digging the archive, I've found this anaglyph which was probably shot with my phone. This was the last 3D anaglyph I'd make in and around my workplace and I've shot this as a homage to the place I've spent 16 years working in. The shot was taken exactly at my last day there, October 31st, 2021. This was the official date for ending my services but surely I came back several times to finish some papers and collect some stuff of course.
The anaglyph here shows a bit of ghosting probably because the cyan/blue is not in the required level or shade, but with some focusing one can see the building protruding a bit in general.

Bougain Delight (3D) - 2020; Let's call it an achievement since I've remembered it's Saturday and I've planned some long time ago to post 3D anaglyphs on Saturdays but always forget ^_^;

I was trying to demonstrate to someone that you can make a crude #stereograph with your camera just by taking two images with camera displaced horizontally by a centimetre or two. This one is left-right reversed because I can only do this by slightly crossing my eyes. Does it work for you?

Draw your attention to a point between the two images then persuade your brain to bring the central of the three images into focus.
