There's a lot of hate around for #jira and I'm not saying that's not justified, but I think people tend to go too easy on #trello by comparison. There's the same tendency for a complex process to develop, except completely ad hoc and based on inconsistently-followed conventions instead. #agile

Importing cards from #Trello to #Nextcloud #Deck is ... an admin level task that users can't do themselves?

Requiring the occ admin CLI, so it doesn't work for hosted/managed instances?

WTF designed this UX‽

A friend asks me for a free and open source alternative to #Asana #Trello etc. It's for simple task management between a small group of volunteers. No complex project management, no code repository, also they won't be able to self-host.

All I can think of is to use i.e. #Codeberg without the coding part but maybe you know a better fit?

Im having another look at alternatives to #trello and going to try #kanboard as its small and easy to host and has plugins. Itll be for my own work project management, so little to no collab. Im investigating various r/selfhosted threads for other options. Kanboard gets good feedback here and there.

@oceanhaiyang @tinker I use Gqueues but any task manger will do - or even put a recurring event in your calendar app.

I'm sure there is no shortage of people int he fediverse who will tell you their favorite task manager tools and processes - so no need to take my recommendation!

As #Trello slowly enshittifies itself... Anyone could propose some *simpler* alternatives?

All I want is a customizable "kanban" board with cards that I can move around. With some stuff I can add to a card: a description, a checklist, maybe some URL attached.

That's it! It would be nice to have native apps on macOS/iOS - but even macOS alone would suffice!
