Before:
The next interruption is Xie Lian’s fault. Request. Something like that. He’s too busy listening to think of the right word.

[They stumble into a busker telling stories along a street, and the subject is the great lord Chengzhu, and Xie Lian is like, I gotta hear this, hush Hong Hong’er and HC just sits there pouting and a little afraid of what Xie Lian is going to think of this guy talking up the city lord crimson rain the red calamity scourge of heaven as a wild and violent man so powerful none can stand against him! Everyone knows the tale of the 33 gods, but have you heard of [either absolute bullshit or cracking down on injustice/unfair dealing]]

[XL asks leading questions, getting the busker to keep talking up Chengzhu while HC tries to disappear against his leg.] [HC finally breaks when the busker tries to move on to how desirable Chengzhu is, why no one can agree what his preferences are, very mysterious and attractive. HC tugs at XL’s sleeve and whines “Gege…” and XL takes mercy on him.]

I made my BIL a #crochet blanket years ago. It's seen a lot of use so I decided to make a new one for him for his birthday. I found chunky baby blanket yarn on sale and got started. Yep, I'm making a fuzzy warm blanket for a birthday in August in Texas. I clearly did not think this through. #WIPWednesday

Been wanting to get something from the #JaneAusten #fabric collection by #RileyBlake for a while now. The #MansfieldPark series was on sale from #MissouriStarQuiltCo today so I'm finally adding it to my #quilting stash.

Found two other pretty fabrics while I was on the site and ordered those too. (Lavender with tan vines and blue with swans.)

K is for… Kantha Stitch
#WIP of the scarf I am making using a running kantha stitch. This is traditionally used to make new things from old worn silk saris. I don’t have any silk, but it’s working well on cotton!

The idea got stuck into my head that I want the cable panel to continue in the brioche cuff of the sleeves. But in brioche you do two passes to create one row of fabric, so it's slightly complicated. I'm doing it anyway. I'm not sure how to bind off. Suggestions welcome.
