Little to combat , because apparently half of don't know this: is a between the and and most of . The main rule for joining is that the country must be a stable with protections on human rights. The main terms of the treaty are that, if one country is attacked unprovoked, on their own soil, the others must send immediate military assistance, and counties must keep up a minimum military to be able to both defend themselves and come to the defense of others.

NATO is not a agreement, though it does facilitate trade agreements to encourage peace.

NATO is not an force. NATO is a pro-democracy force.

NATO is not anti-Russia, as was invited to join in the 90s. is anti-NATO because it's effectiveness limits his power.

NATO has only been called into one war: the US invasion of Afghanistan, with the triggering event being 9/11, when the US was attacked directly.

This is important knowledge to arm yourself with, as members of the global fascist movement will try to undermine every pro-democracy structure they can, and this includes NATO. NATO is one of the most successful alliances in history, especially when it comes to curbing the power of dictatorships and encouraging democracy and peace, and they will do everything in their power to weaken it.

Currently, there is a law stating that Congress must pass a bill for Trump to leave NATO, but it is unclear what will happen if he tries to do it anyway: it will start a constitutional crisis, and may require Congress to impeach.

This is where we go back to the idea that anyone who wants to fight the American Fascist movement needs to do everything we can to lower people's opinion of it and it's leaders. If Trump tries to pull out of NATO, it needs to be more widely understood beforehand that this means he is supporting dictators at the expense of national Security.

Go tell people what NATO is!

Yes and no. This was a military operation which all the members agreed to unilaterally, not a situation where they were forced by the treaty. Let's also remember that Milosovic, a fascistic dictator, was invading neighboring nations and committing genocides, so it wasn't exactly unprovoked either.
