Oh, the colour of that sky! I wonder why extreme conditions make it look so very blue? I've seen the same in Iceland in February!
@mo Thanks. Good question. I actually just looked back at the RAW files to make sure I hadn't done anything in post to change the sky. All the photos showed the same sky, even those not processed.
It was around 8am on a cold November morning, there had been a substantial rain storm the previous afternoon which I guess cleared all the dust and haze from the atmosphere. I got great Monument Valley photos later that day, too.
