Jasper Sikken
Excited because tomorrow we are going into Kiwa Dare Do it Yourself EMC lab, to test radiated emissions and immunity. https://rentalab.nl/

Jasper Sikken
A colleague from generation Y doesn't know what do when a business partner stops responding to email. A colleague from generation X said "Have you tried calling?"

Jasper Sikken
Yummie, spreadable cheese and tomato on my sandwich. Do you have cheese in this form in your country?

Jasper Sikken
After 9 years my Canon doesnt print anymore because the ink absorbers are full. I tried to reset the counter using a service tool, but then my printer completely blocked, it wouldn't even return the cartridges to me, so I forced them out, and then bought a new printer

Jasper Sikken
In the US products must be excellent, but in the Netherlands they can be OK. Prima. Niks mis mee. Niet slecht. Acceptabel. Dutch culture is being normal.

Jasper Sikken
Completed hardware design verification of this 20x20mm microcontroller board and found no design problems, just assembly mistakes. Measuring current and taking infrared picture is part of design verification.

Jasper Sikken
Dat je pas op je 45e realiseert dat tutoyeren komt van het Frans tu en toi. Hahaha

Jasper Sikken
I tested TP4056 and CN3163 solar charging performance. TP4056 drops voltage below max power point, yet charges faster. CN3163 optimizes voltage but delivers lower charge current in low light conditions.
https://hackaday.io/project/167731-testing-cheap-linear-li-ion-chargers-for-solar/log/240884-tested-solar-charging-tp4056-and-cn3163

Jasper Sikken

Jasper Sikken
I have tested and compared two linear solar charge ICs. Even though CN3163 doesn't overload the 5V solar panel much (4.3V vs 3.7V), TP4056 charges significantly faster (5mA vs 1.2mA) under low light conditions. In full sun they perform same.

Jasper Sikken
When combined with a 5V solar panel this board efficiently charges a 3.8V Lithium Ion Capacitor. Due to the low voltage drop of the LDO (0.04V) and the reverse current blocking diode (0.3V) this is more than 90% efficient and the solar panel works near to maximum power voltage.
https://www.tindie.com/products/jaspersikken/solar-linear-lithium-ion-capacitor-charger-board/

Jasper Sikken
Today at work we tuned a 2.4 GHz antenna and found it was already pretty well tuned, so we didn't change the matching network

Jasper Sikken
My solar charger board is also capable charging 4.0V and 4.2V Lithium Ion Capacitors https://hackaday.io/project/178177-solar-harvesting-into-lithium-ion-capacitor/log/240622-aemlic-can-also-charge-40v-and-42v-lics

Jasper Sikken
Initial testing using a current limited bench power supply shows CN3161 doesn't overload the source so much as TP4056. I expect CN3161 charges a battery faster from a solar panel than a TP4056. Later I will continue testing will real solar panels
