Max Effort<p>Which is better, or which are you more accustomed to?</p>
Max Effort<p>Stupid tip... if you use vim and are accustomed to the Esc-Esc keyboard combination, this won't work in the Terminal app for Android ... Esc quits the app!</p><p>The equivalent is Ctrl-[ ... you can use that instead. My dumb fingers have muscle-memory for Esc-Esc and I find myself quitting the app too often, had to slow down my typing while using vi/vim.</p><p>Slowing down and using Ctrl-[ Ctrl-[ works just fine, edited several files already.</p>

Max Effort<p>If this fails on your Pixel device, like it starts but quits after about four seconds ... enable notifications.</p><p>I disable notifications for all new apps, with very few exceptions. Apparently due to the experimental nature of this feature, notifications are required ... I enabled notifications for the Terminal app, and all is well. Time to play.</p>

I've heard success with Pixel phones but nothing specific to the Pixel Tablet, yet.</p><p>I'm going to continue to mess with it, see if it starts behaving normally.</p>
