I’m procrastinating and building the Enterprise D. I’ve printed a couple other prints, one if which will vie for the model that’s determined to kill me. In the meantime though, I printed the dianoga from (the trash compactor monster). I have a tree root near the front door that’s just above the surface. Tonight I painted it to make it look like a tentacled worm and part of the printed dianoga head. Updates to come.

Finished painting the (Trash Compactor Monster) from . I tried to stay true to the spirit of the original design while keeping the color scheme to match my painting tree root (see earlier post). Tell me what you think.

My dianoga, painted to resemble the trash compactor monster from Star Wars: A New Hope. Tried to focus on the glossy green of the eye, the bloody red coloration around the pupil and on the tentacles and then departing for colors of blues, coppers, and violets.

@real_jamescain You did a really good job! Ever play the old Dark Forces games? The name for these creatures are Dianoga - and one I came to not like running into in the waste lakes or sewers of the game.
