How do you people verify your link to #PeerTube channel on #Mastodon? I tried https://peervideo.club/@vintprox that has a #relMe link to my associate TechHub profile, but it still doesn't lit green.
@vintprox source site needs to have a cert/be https:// - I have a pinned post on my profile about it.
@dhrystone
That seems to be out of the question, since it has up to date certificate and URL points to "https://" protocol.
@vintprox https://peervideo.club/@vintprox appears to immediately redirect to https://peervideo.club/c/vintprox/videos, and that second site does not have the correct Mastodon rel="me" code on it. I can't tell if the first one does because it isn't in the browser long enough to view the source of it. Maybe insert the code at https://peervideo.club/c/vintprox/videos and use that as your videos link on your profile?
You are right, it's a short URL for the same thing. So I tried a long-form URL and it still doesn't verify.
Now that I look into source code of the page (pure HTML), it definitely has NO profile description. That's a shame. I though #PeerTube had considered doing #SSR or #SSG of content strategically important for #SearchEngineOptimization, but my expectation once again met the cold ground.
@vintprox well, at least the root cause has been identified.
