Did you know you can search for emoji on Mastodon? Just paste or type the emoji you want into the search box, and the results will be posts and profiles with that emoji in them.
This also works for filters, which let you filter posts with particular emoji instead of particular words.
(I didn't know this, but thanks to @ahimsa_pdx for pointing it out!)
p.s. Searching for flag emoji is a good way of finding accounts from particular countries.
@feditips What happened to regional indicator symbols? Many emoji pickers seem to have forgotten about these letters. Probably because it's Latin... and there are, like, hundreds more languages to cover. Still, I find it a bit 🅳🅸🆂

Which symbols do you mean?
Do you mean the language codes? Those are in a separate feature which is nothing to do with emoji. You can choose your post's language using the letter codes below the post.

Ahh okay those things... I guess they're not used any more as the flag emoji are more convenient and easy to understand?
