Major news! A court in Montana has just declared SB458, a bill that "defines sex" in a way that ends the legal recognition of transgender people in Montana, as facially unconstitutional. This is the first time a bill defining sex has been ruled on! Huge win for trans people in MT!

I read Red Team Blues by Cory Doctorow last night and loved it! Highly recommended if you're looking for a short (213 pages, one evening read), page-turner, smart book.

It's about a crime fighting silicon valley accountant, I kid you not. So expect lots of explanations about how financial crimes of the rich work nowadays -- and, well, blockchain stuff.

All these red states are now boasting about how they are withdrawing from the American Library Association. They aren’t just satisfied with banning books, they want to get rid of the places that keep and lend them, too. The Christian Right is on the march.

Carl Sagan once warned us of the “dumbing down” of America. He warned of a time when our “critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what's true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness...”

That time is upon us. We must do all we can to prevent that darkness from taking hold.
