@Techmeme Yeah, this whole thing is so overblown. It screams nerd-niche. The vocal people playing with chat bots in public are only using a tiny fraction of what LLMs are actually useful for.
In the next few years LLMs will power a lot of software without users needing to be aware. It'll be important and useful, but not in the way nerds seem to care about it today.
