25x digital zoom on iPhone is pretty good, and it doesn't have to fake it.

The moon viewed over a mountain ridge before sunset. Exposure lowered to capture moon detail, leaving the surrounding trees and sky darker. Shot on iPhone 15 Pro Max 120 mm lens.
The moon zoomed in at 25x. A power line is cutting through the center of the frame. The sky is dark since exposure was lowered to ensure the moon detail came through. Shot on iPhone 15 Pro Max 120 mm lens.
