After months of using a #Varmilo Sea Melody TKL keyboard with Ivy EC switches and #Ducky SA Cotton Candy cap, which I'd completely fallen in love with, just for fun I went back to my previous favourite keyboard - a Ducky One II Skyline TKL with #Gateron brown switches and SA R1 #Industrial - still, I have to admit, my absolute favourite colorway. I love both KBs. The Ducky is so smooth and easy to type on. People out there without a mechanical keyboard (yet?) have no idea what they're missing out on. Seriously. Buy one. #mechanicalkeyboards #mechkeys
@dhrystone I did try mechanical. About three to make sure it was just a bad example. Glad you like yours.
I’m happy with a Logitech keyboard
@mlevison It actually took me about four keyboards to find something I liked, and then another few to "home in" on the perfect setup. Lots of different factors including actuation force, keycap height, tactile feedback, traditional versus ortholinear. The challenge is, unlike eg. a mattress store where you can test-lay on something before you buy it, or a shoe store, there's not many places where you can test-type on a MK before purchase. Fortunately here in Phoenix there's a storefront for mechanicalkeyboards.com where you can mess with all brands and styles of device before committing - rather than buy, be disappointed and return to Amazon or wherever.
