A new module is available: 'programs.ghostty'. Ghostty is a terminal emulator that differentiates itself by being fast, feature-rich, and native. While there are many excellent terminal emulators available, they all force you to choose between speed, features, or native UIs. Ghostty provides all three.

@hmnews I'm very happy with Konsole - could anyone give a perspective how Ghostty could be better?
@wraptile @hmnews it depends. It has for example a built-in multiplexing and you have to configure it for yourself if you don't use gnome (it defaults using libadwaita). But I have to mention I didn't test it by myself, that's just what I have read about it and watched the video from Brodie Robertson (in his video he mentions a few cool features but they are currently MacOS only).
Also in the newest blogpost of the developer says they want to add more features in future.
@Epsilon_02 @hmnews thanks, I read the feature docs and watched a video on YouTube and still don't really see anything that would win me over from Konsole tbh.
I guess it's nice to have more awesome stuff but I'm a bit disappointed by the hype. I'm not even sure what else terminal emulator could do that would impress me other than turning into a full web browser
@wraptile @hmnews it didn't convince me either. I will also stay with my current terminal (Alacrity).
About the hype: the developer mentioned in their blogpost they didn't really know why the hype was/is so massive. They assume that the closed beta could be a part of this, but the reason for this was just management on their side to prevent overwhelming.
