Thank you, Mastodon, for saving my car for another month and allowing me to get my electricity turned back on today. I'm still in a serious bind with my property taxes, and I'm behind 3 months on the car, but being able to look for and travel to a job sure does help!
I wish I could thank each and every one of you personally for the help you've given, but there are so many of you! You might not realize that $5 matters, but multiply it by a hundred and it's getting somewhere!
Most of the help I have gotten has been in small donations like that. They really add up. And those ones mean something, because you gave even though things weren't so easy for you, either. And to the people who have given me emotional support through this, even when you couldn't help financially: Having the hope and courage to keep going is every bit as important as having the money. Thank you, every one of you.
I still owe $8k on my property taxes, and they're taking legal action. I'm about $1,500 behind on my car, which I can't even insure. We are paying bills as they cut things off, and eating super cheap. The job hunt has been difficult, to say the least. I can still use a lot of help, if anyone is still able and willing.

Also, I would rather work and earn than take handouts any day. If you need someone with decades of experience in machine learning or python programming, or know someone who does, let me know in a PM. I'm willing to work for cheap, especially if it helps me upskill with LLMs. (My lack of hands-on experience with LLMs in particular is why I am struggling.) I'm happy to work contracts, part time, pay by the job, pay by the hour, you name it. Make me an offer or ask me for a bid!
