@NanoRaptor My brain says it's missing the extra HFS pixel on the left in between the two separator lines.

@alexr @NanoRaptor Wait, you're saying that pixel wasn’t just someone not doing a -1 on a rectangle used to quickly render two lines in one Toolbox call, but rather that pixel was an indicator for which file system was being used?

@uliwitness @NanoRaptor Yes. It indicated the file system the window represented.

@mihaip @rezmason @uliwitness @NanoRaptor Huh, I would have thought it would have stayed as long as MFS
disks could still be mounted (7.6). I guess it went away when the window frames got colorized.

@alexr @mihaip @rezmason @NanoRaptor Weird thing is: The status bar had nothing to do with window borders. It is part of the content area of the window in Classic Toolbox. But I guess some graphic designer probably reviewed the new title bar and scroll bars and went "what's that ugly dead pixel? Fix that!”

@uliwitness @mihaip @rezmason @NanoRaptor Seems equally likely they didn’t carry over th feature when rewriting the Finder in C++ for System 7.

@alexr @uliwitness @mihaip @rezmason @NanoRaptor MFS was so ignored in the Finder’s System 7 rewrite that the Finder crashed if you mounted a MFS volume with a long volume name. I found and reported that bug when learning about the File Manager when I switched from Apple II to Macintosh Developer Technical Support.

See Alex, I do know and remember weird file system stuff.
