My brother-in-law got a M4 Mac mini recently. The last time he used a Mac was with the Macintosh LC III, more than thirty years ago. One thing he still struggles with, then and now: the menu bar that changes when switching apps. The other thing: he doesn’t get the Stage Manager. He turned that off.

This is also true of Window and Linux apps, so not sure what you mean?

@negative12dollarbill on Windows, the application main menu bar is tied to the main window, instead of being at the top of the screen all the time, no?

@numericcitizen
Yes, it's tied to the top of the screen, but it still changes when you switch apps. Probably what's confusing is when you switch apps, but you don't have any windows open, so the menu changing is your only clue. People who move from Windows often find that strange.

The menu being tied to the top of the screen is a HUGE interface advantage, by the way.
