I really hate shitty opinions disguised as expertise. I’ve been having issues fixing my 3D printer; my attempts to go to Facebook for help always ends up with some cockroach showing up shouting to the heavens to *level the bed* or *check your retraction settings*. Everyone nods and applauds their insight. But it’s bullshit.

This is like going to a mechanic and saying your car has a horrible squealing sound and can’t seem to get any power when you press the accelerator. Check your tire pressure! Have you checked your oil? While both of those things may need attention and could possibly be contributing to the cause, most times, they’re not *the* cause. It’s like help from people who don’t really want to help.

I started thinking all expertise is opinion but that diminishes real experts in legitimate disciplines.
