Apparently I'm going to Munich to do some cycling in September:

Now I need to find some place to stay before and after the event - it's 10hrs train trip, so it would be difficult to travel the same day of start/end day.

I would love to hear some recommendations about how to pack a tent also (I do have an ultralight tent, but I have heard it does not combine well with bikepacking).

👉 Only 5.3% of the 151 bikes still use rim brakes — almost extinct!

⚙️ Two-thirds prefer 2x drivetrains, one-third stick to 1x, and there’s one rare 3x setup.

🎒 For luggage:
74% use saddle packs from various brands - what the Germans call an “Arschrakete” ass rocket 🚀

The other 24% all use the same expensive proprietary luggage rack system.

Two have classic racks, and two use traditional saddle bags.
