And here comes a third visual backlog from the fantastic Hengstberger Symposium at the University of Heidelberg which I attended as an invited speaker. This idyllic city has made it to my absolute favorite places in Germany! Thank you for the fabulous experience @chnunn #DigitalHumanities #multilingualdh #multilingualism #dh
With Margot Mellet (@mmellet) we have launched a call for propositions for the next issue of Studies in Book Culture (https://www.erudit.org/en/journals/memoires/):
Publishing Collectives: Creations, practices, engagements
Short abstract:
How do the publishing practices of these collectives evolve, change, or stabilize as they come into contact with digital culture? How do collectives steer publishing in navigating between the determination of practices through digital tools and the free appropriation of those tools? Amidst the various reconfigurations of the ways of doing publishing that collectives put forward, can we identify the moment at which a specific chain of production becomes established as the new paradigm?

Deadline for the completed papers (between 25,000 and 60,000 characters in length), if proposal accepted: March 1st, 2026.

Sketching out an idea for a possible future #liiive feature:
• Write about a IIIF object
• Embed annotation snippets (as links or images).
• Everything stays connected—click a snippet to move the viewer. Maybe even with a bit of #scrollytelling built in?
Curious what you think—would you find something like this useful?
