More Info: I have been at the shelter since Apr 27, 2025 and am ready to go home today!

2) Bite History:
• Minor bite to victim's lip when being petted. (Level 2)
3) DOG INTRO RECOMMENDED due to previous notes stating being forward with greetings, mounty/assertive and only semi respects corrections. Has the potential to tip with the wrong dog but is steerable by handler.
Available for foster care (2+ weeks) or adoption through PACC.
Must visit PACC before the 3:00PM Saturday JUNE 14, 2025 deadline to meet with a counselor who will review notes and introduce you to the dog to ensure that it’s a good fit. Some dogs may also require an introduction to any dogs they may potentially live with.
Cara is a sweet girl who sure does love her humans! When meeting other dogs in playgroup she was a bit forward with greetings and would do best with a tolerant dog in her future home. No cats please! Ask to meet Cara today!!
“She is always well-behaved and happy to get time out of her kennel. Easy to leash and once outside, she loves to smell all the good smells. It is always an easy, relaxing walk with Cara.”
“Cara looks so good after her foster vacation! She is easy to handle and not reactive to other dogs. She's much more interested in sniffing throughout her walks than treats. She's an independent girl for sure!”
Cara is a perky-eared princess who came to PACC after likely being hit by a car. She has a bit of a hitch in her giddy- up, but has healed beautifully with the help of our shelter vets and clinic staff. Now, she’s ready to find a forever home!
edit: In foster!

“I haven't visited Horchata in a while and boy, do I love this girl! She was eager to get out, but easy to leash from outside of her kennel...We stopped at a picnic table for snuggles- this girl sure loves to cuddle! She's a perfect mix of independent and snuggly. She will sit for treats and responds to her name. She takes treats gently and is attentive to her handler."
Horchata’s volunteer friends love her:
“I met Horchata for the first time and man, this pup is a burst of sunshine! She was very friendly, sweet, and playful. I took her to the agility yard and she tried her paws at the A-frame. She followed treats, almost making it to the top! She raced zoomies around the yard, checking in with me for exuberant snuggles. She is smart, brave, and picks up skills quickly; a joyful, energetic pup!”

“This morning was my first time walking Maximus. Once outside he relaxed and accepted treats willingly. We walked around the lake with his kennelmate. Maximus walked with loose body language and a wagging tail. Such a good boy!”
“Maximus can be vocal behind the barrier of his kennel, but don’t let that deter you! He leashes easily and once away from the noise, he is just an easygoing snuggle bug. He jumped up on one of the picnic tables and I gave him some love and pets and he gave me a couple sweet kisses on the cheek. He’s a cute fella!”
Maximus is a handsome guy who shines outside of his kennel- just ask to meet him and you’ll see! This affectionate, playful boy has many fans at the shelter.
