Great, the Committee on Petitions declared my open letter to European politicians to leave X as admissible!

They have forwarded the petition to the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) and the Special committee on the European Democracy Shield (EUDS) for information. I will add the links in their letter as a reply to this post.

I just didn't get why the petition status is closed and was never open for signatures: europarl.europa.eu/petitions/e

Dear Mr Zanella Alvarenga, I am writing to inform you that the Committee on Petitions has examined your petition and has declared it admissible, since the matter you raise falls within the European Union’s fields of activity. Given the subject matter, I have forwarded your petition to the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) and to the Special committee on the European Democracy Shield (EUDS) for information. Please note that the Digital Services Act (DSA) and Digital Markets Act (DMA) have been adopted and entered into force in November 2022, with the application of obligations as of the first trimester of 2024. @sand i agree meta and xitter need to go away. Tooo much influence and potential for interference. first step would be for govt, politicians, and institutions to STOP USING IT. I'm concerned a ban would play into the hands of those who'll scream censorship. #leavex
