@DoomsdaysCW Another idea: In my area wild garlic (#alliumursinum, super tasty) grows first. The lily of the valley (#convallariamajalis, very poisonous) joins in later. The leaves are quite similar. To avoid confusing wild garlic leaves with the ones of the #lilyofthevalley, one can plant two or three lilys of the valley in an ideal spot in the garden (with a rhizome barrier, though!). As soon as the first leaf tips appear there, take extra care when collecting #wildgarlic.
Don't think I've ever taken pictures of these Lily Of The Valley flowers before even though they are right next to the house...
