We can acquaint ourselves with collapse.

Sara El-Sayeh, Post Growth Fellow, introduces the idea of micro-dreaming as a practice to build imaginative bridges between the current world and the one we want to inhabit.

In this beautiful digital zine and article, Sara offers inspiring reflections on the seas (and Cs) of collapse and instructions for how to begin micro-dreaming (full zine here): medium.com/postgrowth/acquaint

@sz_duras #Marx will be useful in re-embedding the mode of production in society. This could be part of a first phase of post-work and post-polis re-embedding: the state (#Rousseau), technology (#Mumford, #Stiegler) and the mode of production (Marx) (re)embedded in society. This would open up the possibility of post-growth (#Saito, and others...), that is to say, re-embedding the market (#Polanyi) in society and society in the natural environment.

@davidorban #Anders explains us fear is necessary for survival, #Diderot spoke of natural anxiety pushing towards self-transcendence....think of #Nietzsche pushes us rediscover our #instincts, that is to say, the "Great Reason", a heuristic of #Jonas, which would allow us to organize #Benjamin pessimism... could we not anticipate the catastrophe outright (#Bravo, #Jameson, #Virilio, @cmoreldarleux )? Would we afraid of discovering #normality is the real #catastrophe @RebeccaSolnit ?

@sz_duras The accumulation of material wealth (#capitalism) must be seen as a continuation of #domination by the hoarding/centralization of knowledge/power by multi-millennial #technoBureaucraticSocialSystems. In the era of #colonialCapitalism, power slipped towards the control of #capital alone. In the industrial and post-industrial/neocolonial eras, we see a return to the #control of #management, #power is (again) in the hands of #managers (#Burnham), now capitalists. #postPolitics #postGrowth

@sz_duras : I agree with #Serre's natural contract, but how can we ensure that it is not hijacked, like #Rousseau's social contract, which was distorted by #Robespierre's Terror, and so far? We only hear about a "general interest" to naturalize the #State and its coercive policies. Will we not hear about an "ecological general interest" within the #algorithmicControlSociety of #Deleuze, #Stiegler and #Rouvroy?
