The one fun side effect of poor sales at malls is that some of the malls in my area have installed EV chargers, and to encourage mall visits the malls make sure the charge is free.

I'm not saying I have increased my mall shopping, but on a cloudy day when my solar panels are not producing enough to justify regular house load AND an EV charging session, instead of hitting the treadmill I hit the mall and start walking. Not sure how long it will last, but I plan on taking advantage of it while I can.

My main use for Amazon is to find products. Once I've found what I want, I look up the seller directly and see if I can get them some other way - usually simply getting it direct from them. It is usually about the same price but as they are not giving a chunk of it to Amazon they are making more money. Yes, I rarely get free shipping or whatever, but it helps support what it often a small business. I encourage all of you to do the same.

Lately I've been leaving my Amazon music library on shuffle via Sonos. Without subscribing to their music streaming service, you can stream any music you have purchased from Amazon, LPs, CDs, or MP3s (as long as they have ripped it). I bought a lot of music CDs (and even mp3s,) from Amazon in the pre-bandcamp days, (back when they were just a convenient place to get books and music, before we understood their plans for world domination). So, it's like a time machine of what I was listening to 8 years ago. Also, I like to think Amazon has to pay the artists for the plays (even tho I'm not paying them).
