I could setup a build environment to compile code and produce binaries for #WindowsCE with #GCC under #Linux.
I wish I had known about #CEGCC 15 years ago when I started development for the #WinCE platform.
Before 2015 there were still some places in the industry where you could find this antique OS.
Now I have flashbacks about this time.
CE apps were hard to program and maintain.
But hey ... challenges can be fun too.
Does anyone have information on these things? Motorola WT4090. I'm looking for OS binaries and the software for customizing and flashing. I have the SDK and have been able to upload apps. They are wrist computers running WinCE 5.0 on an 520MHz XScale with 128MB of ram and flash. They were used in logistics, and were paired with barcode scanners.
They're out of warranty so I am unable to download the data from Zebra. Thank you for your help!
Been meaning to clean this drawer out for a while now. 15 years I'd guess.
(That is "the" iPaq that I got from Compaq CRL. If you've got android, or an m1 mac, or a touchscreen phone at all, this specific object, and a few like it, is one of the reasons why..)

#eVB and all the needed tools installed, since I'm not good at all with #CPlusPlus I've skipped its installation, tomorrow I'll try some sample on my #Jornada680 . The IDE is running on #WindowsNT on #VirtualBox in #Linux #Manjaro
So much hashtags! sorry!
But I'm pretty happy to mess with my #WinCE device
Need to read some stuff now...

May was always the brave one, and she had the knife, so she made the first cut. Beth winced at how easily her sister did it.
“Do we really need—”
“The spell calls for a deadman’s heart,” May snapped. There was a smear of blood on her jaw. “We have to get this right. Relax, would you? It's not like we're the ones who killed him.”
In #solidarity with unfolding leaves, the sun casts an #emerald glow, revealing my #obsession with magical light. Birdsong everywhere. An orange tip flutters by. I #wince as a bumblebee zooms past my ear, then smile, as it settles onto a patch of pilewort.
Back in 2009…TechDemo of x-Logic, a remake of an old Amiga game, developed in #blitzbasic with great graphics and ingame music…
