I've had a bunch of meetings with a subcontractor in my current position. They're located somewhere else, and are sporting a somewhat charming but thick #accent. To help me out a bit, I've enabled Teams' live captioning. Either that feature is completely useless, or one of the team members is planning some sort of coup:

"Let me speak for the bomb ★★★★ to Alexandra"

I was just thinking about how strange it is that fantasy and historical figures in US media almost always speak with an English accent. For once, I'd like to hear elves that sound like they're from New Jersey.

Also for my British friends, is it weird that wizards and Julius Caesar just sound a bit posh?

The secret to the perfect #australian #accent is to take words with 'Long-A' sounds and substitute them with 'Long-I' sounds. For example:

Day -> Dye
Hate -> Hite
Tomato -> Tom-eye-to
Gatorade -> Guy-torade
Complaint -> Compl-eye-nt

You throw in a couple of aussie-drawl 'Yeea mite' s in there with the above, and people will swear you're from The Gold Coast.
