A #badger ?* has been scaling brambles and 1.2 metre-high stone terrace walls and/or boar fencing to get into the top vegetable garden and plough a new bed of almost fully grown sweetcorn etc. on the site of a recent compost heap.

I decided to move the best #courgette plant [and some sweetcorn] already in fruit, as already dug-up.

Not being something any sane gardener might come across, I thought you might like to see the 1.2 metre long fibrous courgette root I teased out of the battlefield.

Amazingly, the courgette is recovering and looking like it might continue producing in a new makeshift "overflow" bed in the lower garden!

*unless you know of another member of the Mustidae that would eat strawberries as well as hunt earthworms.
