Yesterday was @einsteinathome 20th anniversary!
Einstein@Home is a #BOINC project, and to quote their announcement, so far they have achieved:
"We have discovered more than 90 new radio and gamma ray pulsars, including a number of extreme and exotic examples. The project has resulted in 38 peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals, and has also played a role in a dozen PhD theses."

Is #BOINC dead? I know SETI@Home is in suspended animation, but I tried two other projects and one’s servers seem offline and the other has no work packages…
Not wanting to try them all… is there any other distributed parallel computing platform that I can use to put my computer in room warming mode?

For any #BOINC users out there, I'm trying to reinstall it on my desktop. I think my antivirus messed it up. I'm neither able to uninstall or install it properly, getting the same error in both cases. So clearly, I'm missing something somewhere. Anyone have any ideas?
