Carr Bridge to Aviemore with Moray yesterday. A mix of forest roads and bike trails, and some moorland. Including a short section on a black bike route 😮

We started off following the route of General Wade's military road, then found a track that wasn't on the map which took us over the higher ground, before dropping into the woods above High Burnside.

A vehicle track through open woodland. The ground is heather and blaeberry, the trees are fairly mature Scots pine. Moray the dog is stood looking ahead.
An open bit of heathery and grassy ground, with a thick forest plantation in the middle distance. In the distance the tops of the high Cairngorms are just visible with a sparse coating of snow. Blue sky and patchy clouds. Moray the dog stood looking back at me.

Looking across heather moorland. There are some mature Scots pines, and also some younger ones regenerating. Blue sky, patchy clouds.
