Thomas Gataker was a member of the Westminster Assembly. He says society, especially authorities, have mistreated, dissed, and oppressed the poor. He reminds that the poor have a “good part in God.”

The poor are to have a part of God’s fellowship and blessings, and if the finger points at the rich, apparently they are to share. I don’t see a criticism of the poor in this paragraph.

How can we “do them right”?
