Drought Center<p>Drought continues to worsen in the West, especially in the Pacific Northwest. Alaska also saw more degradations this week, with a small area of improvement. </p><p>Drought improved in Texas (with an area of two-category improvement) and the Mid-Atlantic. </p><p>The Southeast saw scattered degradations with some improvement in the Florida Peninsula. Drought Center<p>Texas saw multiple drought category improvements after devastating flooding this past week. </p><p>Degradations occurred in much of the West, besides parts of New Mexico and Arizona. Drought Center

Degradations continued in the West, especially in areas from northwest Colorado through the Pacific Northwest. Scattered areas of degradation also occurred in eastern Tennessee, parts of the Mid-Atlantic and Puerto Rico.

Improvements occurred in Florida, Texas, New Mexico, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska. Mixed conditions occurred in parts of the Midwest and High Plains, plus Alaska and Hawaii.
