Back in ye olde days, I went on a Christian #retreat to a Benedictine #monastery. We ate in #silence whilst one of the monks read #uplifting text. Was #joyful and #amusing rather than overtly Christian. The meals were #simple and #plain, with much of the food coming from their garden #grown #produce.

I was there for about a week, walking in the walled enclosed #garden. #Reading my preferred material. Meals were the only required attendance. I was able to do #yoga in my room. #Meditation of my preference. Remaining in the #silence of my choosing.

A #wonderful #opportunity and #experience to be grateful for.
