Also, looking to connect with other GenX/Xennials who were part of the whole #GirlsRockCamp, #Ladyfest era of #punk. I feel like I have to say it’s trans/nb inclusive even though I wish that was just understood. All of this stuff was led by queer punks. I lived in Portland, OR when the first Girls Rock Camp happened and I went to the first Ladyfest in Olympia, Washington in 2000. Later in 2008, my band played Ladyfest in London, Cork & Madrid. I did a talk at a zine fest recently and only one person in the room had heard of #XraySpex. The band was fronted by teenaged Ethiopian-British, eccentric, bipolar, avant-garde, punk singer and songwriter #PolyStyrene who was born OTD in 1957.
