radio #propogation for #GMRS is still incredible right now. i woke up this morning to my kitchen radio with two dudes chatting it up simplex style on #GMRS15 (462.5500 MHz) and one of the operators was in Indiana two states away. Another in IL.

(I couldn't participate because i haven't caved and bought a 40-50W mobile radio for the kitchen. i'd want it on the counter and i'd have to run an antenna somehow and then the power supply for not using it in the car takes up a bunch of precious space.)

My snake plant (Dracena trifasciata) is today's houseplant. The photo is from August when it unexpectedly flowered. I had no idea of the delicate nature of their flowers! After flowering I was able to split and repotbit, so now I have 2 of them. Will be watching to see if they flower again next summer.
