This piece is called ‘the opera singer’ by Dora de Larios. A rounded body with incised designs, outstretched arms that seems almost two dimensional, topped by an oval head and lips in full operatic exuberance, all topped by a jaunty hat!

Shame on me for not recording the artist of these mammoth clay figures in the gallery. This detail from one of their garments shows the intricate patterning involving diamond grid leaves, striped gray and white background, and fishscale patterned bulging frames.

This super fancified large vessel by Robert Lugo features a clasically shaped urn bejeweled, decorated, and bedazzled with gold florals, bright orange & yellow patterns, figure heads, and a portrait of (big e Smalls?)

Lauren Mabry’s sculpture features an upright rectangle with a large oval cut out near the top. The top section appears to have been pierced in five equally spaced locations, from which different colored glazes drip to the bottom of the cut out oval, where they pool and cascade down the remainder of the rectangle in streams of marbleized patterns in turquoise, yellow & red, black & white, yellow & green, yellow & turquoise.
