When I was about 13 I was in my room, burning candles and using a deck of playing cards to discern my future options. My mom came in and looked over what was happening and quietly said, "I dont think we're supposed to do that." I dont know how I knew how to do this ritual, just that it was natural to me. Fast forward to now and I am grateful to share ritual and altar with my husband and family, they add flowers and incense to the altars I begin. It's a joy to create together. #witchy 1/

This weekend was all about chandlery!
I’ve been making beeswax candles from locally sourced wax for my witchy stall - a new business venture that I’m embarking on.
The tiny ones are mini spell candles that burn for exactly 30 minutes.
The largest candle burns for 120 hours!

But the hand-dipped candles are my pride and joy. They burn for around 7 hours each. And I’m so pleased with how they turned out.

My little side project this weekend was sewing a new cover for my sleep cushion.

I chose brown & white patchwork with a pretty garden theme

I’m sorry that I can’t share a pattern for this as I don’t use them when I sew.
But you can see the simple design, and see how perfectly imperfect it is which doesn’t bother me one bit as I’ll fall asleep snuggling this every night until it too needs replacing!

@powerword and I got a new #doormat!
We already have a snarky sign and a polite sign, but we figured that we needed one more.
I'm grateful that he puts up with my #witchy self
