#PSA Regular reminder that...
#Israel has existed long enough to have families whose #immigrant ancestors have all died of old age, and most #Israelis are from the #MiddleEast, while many of the #Jews who immigrated were fleeing persecution campaigns like the #Holocaust, and don't have anywhere else to go.
They exist, have a right to exist, and aren't realistically going anywhere.
#Palestine has existed for thousands of years, the vast majority of #Palestinian families have been there for so long there is no longer a clear record of when they got there, but genetic testing has shown that the typical Palestinian is descended from #Jewish people.
They exist, have a right to exist, and aren't realistically going anywhere.
The solution to the #IsraeliPalestinianConflict is to get past the violence, and get them to live in their shared region in #peace.
Anyone who says otherwise is #racist / #antisemetic / #islamophobic, and advocating #genocide, and their input should be rejected for it.
@Raccoon Where was there a Country called "Palestine" ? There never was, it is Jews that have been in this land for thousands of years, and it doesn't matter who is ruling.
@ashdod
Both groups were there for thousands of years. When they do genetic testing on Palestinians, it is very clear that they are the descendants of the people who lived there at the time of the Jewish diaspora, including Jews who didn't leave. The only difference is that most of them converted to Christianity or Islam in the last 2,000 years.
Also, the first time I saw the word "Palestine" was on the map in the back of my Bible in the '90s, so it's definitely not something that was made up recently.
So no, it doesn't matter who is ruling, what matters is that there are two groups of people in a place who are not going anywhere, so to demand violence to get rid of one group or the other is unacceptable.
@Raccoon The word "Palestine" was made up by the Romans to demoralize the Jews.
I also agree it doesn't matter so much who is ruling.
It actually isn't clear that the Arabs living here are the original, most of them were brought in by the British as cheap labor.
Of course there is similar genetics between Arabs and Jews. They have common ancestor .
@ashdod
But the genetic similarities go deeper than simply being from the same Middle Eastern / Mediterranean region. Testing reveals that Palestinians have a lot of genetic markers which we only see in people from Ancient Israel.
They are there because that is where their families lived, virtually all of them for the past century, and most of them for the past 2000 years.
@Raccoon It is not just Middle eastern decent. There were people there. But Jews and Arabs are Decendent from Abrahams 2 sons. Jews from Izak and Arabs from Yishmael.
@ashdod
Yes, and I am saying the Palestinians seem to be more descended from Izak's descendants than Yishmael's.
@Raccoon Then they should all go convert "lechumra" and be jews .... Unless they are Eisve's children, cause that would make sense.
@ashdod
Reminder that the Israeli government, and many Islamic Palestinian groups, actively persecute Palestinians who attempt to convert to Judaism...

@Raccoon Israeli GOV doesn't represent jews...
@ashdod
But this is the point that I am making, because you are saying that the Israelis have more right to be there than the Palestinians, but the issue is that both groups have been there for thousands of years and have nowhere else to go. You say the Palestinians should just convert back to judaism, but even if that solution was at all reasonable, it doesn't solve the problem.
@Raccoon I never said "Israelis", I said "Jews"
