Not all of the #RStats folks do/will read my Daily Drop newsletter 🔗 (no judge; just stating reality), so I'll Drop the GitLab 🔗 that’s in today’s edition (going out ~0900 ET) here, now.

It's (🤞🏽) a decent starter Node.JS portable CLI program that has #WebR baked into it and ships with {stringi}, which is used to make a CLI lorem ipsum generator.

The system it runs on does *not* need a local R installation nor does the CLI load 📦 from the internet. It's all local/WebR.

After 7 months of seeing how great sharing #rstats content on here is, I need to start my #introduction by committing to write and share more. I benefit 100% from articles, tutorials and blogs - so I need to return the favor.

I love my job - I get to develop R packages/apps to enable innovative thinking in early clinical development. When not overworking I spend time with my fiancé, family, and friends experiencing all that Buffalo has to offer!

I’ve written the first draft of a blog post that collects different ways one can create conditional content in #QuartoPub HTML docs (with the knitr engine). github.com/jimgar/jimgar.githu I’m not that experienced in this space, so was wondering if someone would be willing to give it a look for accuracy and any obvious omissions. @smach @brodriguesco @maelle @thomas_mock @MickaelCanouil

This week I got to use Plumber in for the first time and am shocked at how simple it was to setup a minimally working version. The next step is figuring out what a CORS policy is and how to deal with it :thisIsFine:

So I decided to peek back in and take a look at twitter, and was reading comments on threads where data science folks announced a move here. The level of entitlement that some folks have about other folks' social media presence is really incredible. Twitter was an unsafe platform for many of us for a very, very long time. We took the opportunity to leave when it presented itself. If that's your idea of marginalized folks in data science being "too political" then you have a serious problem

#Genuary2023

Day 7's prompt is to "sample a color palette from your favorite movie/album cover".

Always hard to pick a singular favourite, but for colour inspiration, it's hard to go past "Ponyo" by Studio Ghibli!

『 ハムが...好き! 』

Making this piece was a breeze thanks to two #rstats packages:
📦 {truchet} by @paezha: github.com/paezha/truchet
📦 {ghibli} by @ewenme on Github: github.com/ewenme/ghibli

I’m a data solutions engineer at Atorus where I develop packages for the pharma/life sciences space. I’m also learning Javascript, and have learned a lot by creating www.phillymetal.net, which helps people in the Philadelphia area find heavy music shows 🤘
Looking forward to connecting and reconnecting with others in the , , and general world!
