So, I’ve been thinking about the #BlueOrigin “all-female flight” a month ago, and here’s my take:
Valentina Tereshkova was the first woman to fly solo in space in 1963 on Vostok 6, and she did it on old Soviet hardware, and at the age of just twenty-six, she is still the youngest woman to have done so to this day. Also, she married a fellow cosmonaut. They had a child, and that child became the first in the world to have parents who both went to space.
