another thing that someone in #carcosa had at some point considered worthy of writing on a wall was actually three of them:

- "to know what i wish to find out"
- "we know the world from media which lie"
the sheer existence of these coherent sentences written in the least central crossings of #carcosa blew my mind as a youngster and continues to this day
whether there is anything more to these sentences than teenage deepity is up to the eye of the beholder
that quote used to be written on the central post office in #carcosa, on the side that faced the polyclinic
in later years #vandals had crossed that writing with #orthodox christian #graffiti - under some sort of weird #electoral circumstances iirc...?)

Mister Carcosa, much like the Slender Man, is an emergent folklore phantasm. Supposed encounters and rumours play a part in building up the narrative structure that supports and forms the creature. Initially, the sinister figure, had no name/identification. Depending on the accounts, his appearance varies from the typical Men in Black to Tall-man ~ Slender Man physique and garments. A few accounts, report Mister Carcosa struggling to hold on to his form, and hurrying off. Sightings of large owl like creatures (similar to The Mothman) flying near where Carcosa had appeared were reported.

Lese gerade #Jagannath, eine Sammlung von Kurzgeschichten von #KarinTidbeck, die 2012 in englischer Sprache erschienen sind. Dem #Carcosa Verlag sei Dank: Das Buch wird kommenden November in einer deutschen Übersetzung erscheinen. Es ist eben nie zu spät für Übersetzungen von guten Büchern.

Habe Ursula K. Le Guins Utopie "Immer nach Hause" fertig gelesen. Das Buch ist großartig! Aber auch anstrengend zu lesen, wegen der Struktur, der Gedichte, der Lieder und der beschriebenen, komplexen Gesellschaftsstruktur.
Ein schöner Gegenpol zu den ganzen Dystopien, der mal Ideen bringt, wie es – stark vereinfacht gesagt – anders und besser sein könnte, anstatt nur zu zeigen wie alles den Bach runter geht.
Arkham Horror LCG is just so good! I have three more scenarios in #TheForgottenAge campaign and it has just gotten really exciting again. There was a little bit of a lull in the middle scenarios but "The City of Archives" is about to ramp up the #Lovecraftian mythos once again.
I am definitely thinking of grabbing another campaign in the coming months but not sure if I should do #Carcosa or the newest one, "The Feast of Hemlock Vale."
Any suggestions?
