The McDonald and Clear wildfires have joined in the latest perimeter analysis available from Alaska Interagency Coordination Center. Sunlight filters through a smoke-filled sky, creating crepuscular rays in Fairbanks, Alaska. The smoke is from the nearby Clear fire (23,000 acres) and McDonald fire (50,000 acres). Taken along the trails at UAF this afternoon.

Tuesday morning updated perimeters for the McDonald and Clear wildfires south of Fairbanks. These two fires alone make this the largest area burned in Fairbanks North Star Borough since 2013.
