#DHCP uses packet filters and these tie into the IP stack before the firewall."
If you can accept wpa_supplicant in initrd, then it’s relatively easy to make Wi-Fi and #SSH work. This avoids dbus
. Some official ISC docs for their DHCP server use "raw sockets" as a broad term, because it can run on a number of different platforms where it must use a number of different interfaces. On #Linux , there is more than one type that you might hear referred to as raw sockets. Some are affected by Linux iptables, and some are not affected by Linux iptables.

NixOS Discourse · Running NetworkManager in initrdNo, I never got NetworkManager working in initrd. It is quite a shame because I wanted to standardize a networking stack on all my wireless devices. However, I easily got wifi working with wpa_supplicant which doesn’t need dbus. I ssh into my server remotely with yggdrasil and decrypt it. Yggrasil is basically an overlay network halfway between Tailscale and TOR. So this solution probably would work for Tailscale. To get yggdrasil working I am using a binary called “yggstack” which is not in nix...

PRAWDA?

No. 3 sprzęty miały mnie w dupie. 2x #Yamaha (tuner, głośnik) i odkurzacz. Ale dzisiaj przyszła kryska na matyska, upierdoliłem im wszystkim prund. I okazało się że jednak umieją z DeHaCePem pogadać i dostać nowy adres serwera DNS...

I don’t usually rant, but this deserves one. I upgraded my BOG STANDARD Pi-hole from version 5.x to 6.x, and IT BROKE EVERYTHING. DNS stopped working, the DHCP settings page lost its static lease section (and no button to add them), and the new web interface crawled like molasses on my Raspberry Pi 3. My setup wasn’t customized – everything was configured through the web interface.

Fail guys..fail
